Advocating for our own health or the health of our loved ones starts with gaining access to and a better understanding of health information. The AHIMA Foundation, the non-profit arm of the American Health Information Management Association, launched an initiative to help increase the level of health literacy in the US. We sat down with Anisa Tootla, Executive Director at AHIMA Foundation sat down with us to share more about the need for this initiative and the resources that they are making available to the public.
