The war is now over and recession is kicking in as Celtic play in an era building up to the General Strike of 1926. The poor of Glasgow’s East End turn to the emerging Labour Party and the rise of Red Clydeside as the streets are carved up by vicious gangs with violence and social unrest a common occurrence.
