Published: June 18, 2013, 3:29 p.m.

In this second episode we are joined by Harry Brady from Celtic Underground to cover the period 1900 to 1920 and it’s not long before we are discussing conspiracy theories against the Club even back in those early days. On the pitch, however, things really start to get exciting as Celtic won six league titles in a row between 1904/05 and 1909/10 and even won every competition they entered in 1907-08. We learn about the introduction of the hoops and reason behind the dreaded term “Old Firm”. Bennet, McMenemy, Quinn, Somers and Hamilton were the deadliest front line in Scottish football of the period, but it wasn’t long before it was a different front line that was come to the fore as we chat about Celtic in the First World War and all the social unrest in Glasgow both during this time and shortly after its conclusion There is also the History of the Stadium, History of the Celtic Shirt and all your Fan Stories and Confessions. As our second guest, Harry nominates Multiple Sclerosis as the second charity that will benefit from this series and you can learn more about them at www.mssociety.org.uk We are asking everyone that downloads the podcast to donate one pound, fifty pence or even a fiver for the episode, but really anything you can afford will be greatly appreciated and ALL monies raised will be given to the ten worthy charities at the end of the series.
