Ep 121: Investing in relationships even when we don't have much in common with someone.

b'We find comfort in our commonalities. Our education, our upbringing, the type of music we like, even our religion or skin color. All of them are subtle signals that another person has walked a path similar to ours. Those commonalities are often catalysts to conversations which become the beginnings of fantastic interpersonal relationships. Yep, it\\u2019s easy to make friends with your coworkers if you have things in common with them. Much more difficult when there\\u2019s no jumping off point. But those who take the time and make the effort to create relationships with others\\u2014even when there\\u2019s seemingly not much in common\\u2014tend to be more well-liked and move farther in their careers.
