Sarah speaks with Andrew Maranis about his book, Games of Deception: The True Story of the First U.S. Olympic Basketball Team at the 1936 Olympics in Hitler's Germany. this Young Adult book first tells the origin story of basketball and how it became so popular it was added as an Olympic sport only 45 years after its invention. It also tells the story of Nazi Germany, propaganda both at home and abroad, and details the parallels between that time period and now.
