Sunday Message: Your Password to Unlocking Revelation

Published: Jan. 31, 2021, 8:06 a.m.

In this Sunday morning episode, Pastor Greg Laurie embarks on a brand-new series titled, Revelation: A Book of Promises. The Book of Revelation is full of promises, warnings, instructions, and a vivid picture of the glory that awaits all believers. There's a blessing promised to the person who reads, hears, and keeps the words of this book. Listen in and experience the blessing! Notes The word revelation means, “unveiling.” God does not give us Bible prophecy to scare us, but to prepare us. The primary objective of Revelation is not to reveal Antichrist, but Jesus Christ. The essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus (Revelation 19:10). Bible prophecy is not given to inflate our brains, but to enlarge our hearts. Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a “built-in” blessing attached. Three prerequisites necessary to receive the promised blessing: Read it for yourself. Hear the words of the prophecy. Keep the things which are written in it. We learn about the future to motivate us to live right in the present. Studying the Book of Revelation unlocks the mystery of history. Studying the Book of Revelation brings sense to our suffering. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever” (Revelation 21:4). God wants us to understand Bible prophecy. “Whatever exists today and whatever will exist in the future has already existed in the past. For God calls each event back in its turn” (Ecclesiastes 3:15). Revelation reveals the events of the Last Days are closely linked together. Revelation is from Jesus Christ revealing Himself to us. Jesus always tells the truth about us and the future, but He speaks that truth in love! Not only are you loved, but as a Christian, you are cleansed from your sins. When Christ returns all the world will know.  Revelation gives us the only actual description of Jesus in the Bible.  The Book of Revelation tells us not to be afraid!  When you fear God, you fear nothing else; whereas, if you do not fear God, you fear everything else.
