Cannabis Drug Interactions and Side-effects, with Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen

b'In this interview I spoke with Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen who is Executive Director of the International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines and organizer of the 2019 Cannabinoids in Medicine conference in Berlin, Germany.

Dr. Grotenhermen treats many patients using high-THC cannabis, including over 300 with ADHD and some with schizophrenia. At the conference he shared his experience and expertise with doctors from 35 countries, and he kindly shared shared some with us.

Dr. Grotenhemen explained potential drug interactions. He also addressed possible acute side-effects like psychosis, and possible chronic side-effects like dependency and schizophrenia. He explained these are insignificant when put in perspective.

He also shared research that indicates many medical conditions may originate in the endocannabinoid system (which cannabis helps regulate), and research into THC as an anticancer agent.
