Recent studies have shown that the marriage of ‘’traditional’ psychedelics and psychotherapy can successfully help patients suffering from depression and PTSD to move through trauma. 

However, cannabis --which has not been traditionally considered to be a psychedelic--is now being utilized to achieve the same somatic effects through a treatment called Cannabis-Assisted Psychotherapy.
