Merciful God, we confess that we do not know how to prepare for Advent. We have forgotten your miracles. We have ignored the promises of your kingdom. We keep getting distracted by all the busyness of the season. Forgive us, we pray. Grant us the simplicity of the Manger and the good news that a child has been born for us. We ask that you make us ready for His coming. Amen.\\xa0
