What happened to the times when everything was simple? This is the question we seek to address, as we get to swim upstream through the muddy waters of the church in hopes of finding clarity. By walking through the first 8 chapters of the book of Acts, we will see that there is something refreshing about the simplicity of the early church as they lived on mission immediately after Jesus’ departure. In the early Acts of the Apostles we will encounter the lives of those in the early church and the principles they held onto. This will cause us to see that, though it may be simple, their way of living in light of the cross was profound and exemplary of what the life of the church should look like.
