The book of Psalms is the inspired book of prayers and praises to God that came forth from the nation of Israel, God’s chosen people. Yet how is it that, though they were written thousands of years ago, these writings resonate so deeply with us even now in the 21st century? We are able to draw encouragement and consolation from the Psalms because we identify with the struggles and experiences of God’s people as they walk through life pursuing holiness and a personal relationship with Him. This series on the Psalms will address areas of all the Christian life, including the importance of worship, community, spiritual growth, and rest in God.
