When You Follow A Star And Find A Stable

b'When we look at the Christmas story we come upon some wise men who were following a star. They were clearly aware that there was something significant about that star. They were looking for the King of the Jews. As they followed this divine manifestation that directed them to Bethlehem one could imagine the excitement they must have felt. Imagine how they must have felt when they followed the star and found the King of kings at a stable? Did they have questions? Did they have doubts about whether their efforts were in vain. Their response to their unlikely destination offers a lot of insight that can be applied to how we live our life of faith in Christ. When we follow Christ we are sometimes directed into situations that we did not expect and sometimes those situations are unpleasant, a let down from what we expected. It is in those moments we can respond poorly or we can respond like the wise men did. They bowed down and worshiped. They gave the best of what they had. The left that place forever changed. When we encounter Christ and He leads us to a place that we didn't expect, let us respond with worship, giving nothing but our best, and forever changed as He continues to lead us on our journey.'
