According to wikipedia.com:\nSocial media describes the online tools and platforms that people use to share\nopinions, insights, experiences, and perspectives with each other. Social media\ncan take many different forms, including text, images, audio, and video.\nPopular social mediums include blogs, message boards, podcasts, wikis, and\nvlogs.
In this session we'll take a\nlook at a few of the common social media applications including mySpace,\nFacebook and Flickr. We'll also look at some applications that are designed\nspecifically for academic use.
