No one likes to wait. That includes waiting for this world to become what we know deep down it should be. You can find plenty of good advice about what you can do to make the world a better place, but our best hope for the future is the good news about everything Jesus will one day undo. This week we wrap up this series by seeing what Jesus means when he says he wants us to wait and watch for his return. It doesn’t mean we stop everything else we’re doing and stand with our necks craned to the sky. Rather, as we go about our daily lives and tasks, we cling to Jesus’ promises about everything he will undo. Those promises not only transform every aspect of how we live, they keep us ready at all times for his return.
