Christian author C.S. Lewis once said, "If false, Christianity is of no importance. If true, it is of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important." When it comes to our faith, casual is the enemy of crucial. Thankfully, Christ pleads with us in his word to treat our faith as the crucial thing that it is. This week we see that following Jesus means being willing to leave behind things we hold dear. Those things will vary from person to person, but the challenge is the same. Thankfully, as we look at the resolute determination Jesus showed to be our Savior, we will be resolute in being his followers.
