Jesus makes his biggest waves by pressing mute.

A world like ours needs a Savior who is willing to disrupt the status quo and overturn the ordinary order of things. From the moment he set foot in this world, Jesus did just that. He never shied away from making waves in order to be the Savior we needed. This week we see how the biggest and longest-lasting waves Jesus made in our world did not come from him cranking up the volume of his voice or turning up the intensity of his light. Rather, they came when he pressed mute, so to speak. He hid his glory and allowed his voice to be silenced by willingly going to the cross. His transfiguration and his resurrection prove, however, that his death was not the end of his impact but only the beginning.
