God gives you work that's never done but always complete.

We’re right to expect big things out of Christmas. Unfortunately, we often look for those things in all the wrong places. Just like he did at the first Christmas, God often gives us these blessings “undercover.” He puts his best gifts in the last place we’d expect to find them - like in a manger. This week we see what God says about readiness. Readiness is an allusive concept this time of year. It seems as though the more we do the less ready we feel. Thankfully God directs our attention somewhere other than more busyness. Rather than one more list of things to do, God sends his messengers to point us to the complete work of his Son. Through him - and apart from any effort of our own - we are always ready.
