A crash course on prayer

Christian author C.S. Lewis once said, "If false, Christianity is of no importance. If true, it is of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important." When it comes to our faith, casual is the enemy of crucial. Thankfully, Christ pleads with us in his word to treat our faith as the crucial thing that it is. This week Jesus teaches us about prayer. Finding time to pray often seems difficult. Doing so boldly and confidently often seems impossible. But when we remember who God is and where we stand with him, we will pray to him with the same shameless audacity with which children make requests of their parents.
