He was fresh out of high school, enrolled in college, and pursuing his passion as the newest and youngest member of local Victoria, Texas rock-n-roll band Southern Wind. But days before his 19th birthday, on December 4th, 1976, John headed to the south of town, a place known as \\u201cUnder the Hill,\\u201d and disappeared. John\\u2019s family, bandmates, and many friends found his abandoned station wagon just south of that area the following day, but the 18-year-old was nowhere to be found. At least not yet.
