Hey. How\\u2019s it going?

You know, I\\u2019ve been getting a lot of questions from Go Natural English learners like you asking me, \\u201cWhere should I start?\\u201d You know, English is a big language with lots of words. So, if you want to know where to begin, in this episode, I\\u2019m going to share the top ten English nouns. These are the most popular nouns that are used the most in the English language.

So, now I\\u2019m going to check on my laptop. I have the top ten words in the English language and, actually, these are not just the top ten words in general, because that would include articles like \\u201cthe\\u201d or \\u201ca\\u201d, which are actually the most common words. But I wanted to tell you the most common nouns because I think that\\u2019s more helpful. Don\\u2019t you? Okay.

So, the number ten \\u2013 we\\u2019re going to countdown from ten \\u2013 the number ten most common word in English is \\u201chand\\u201d. \\u201cHand!\\u201d Can you believe it? That\\u2019s interesting. It\\u2019s probably because there\\u2019s some idioms in English that include the word \\u201chand\\u201d, like, \\u201cCould you give me a hand?\\u201d

Number nine is the word, \\u201clife\\u201d. \\u201cLife.\\u201d We talk about life a lot. It makes sense.

Number eight. The number eight most popular word is \\u201cworld\\u201d and I know this word is quite difficult to pronounce for a lot of English language learners. So, try repeating if after me now: \\u201cworld\\u201d. Okay. Very good.

Number seven is \\u201cman\\u201d. Okay.

\\n

Number six is \\u201cthing\\u201d. This is also kind of a difficult sound, the \\u201ct-h\\u201d sound, so try repeating this word after me: \\u201cthing\\u201d. Awesome!

Number five is \\u201cday\\u201d.

\\n

Four is \\u201cway\\u201d. It rhymes with \\u201cday\\u201d.

\\n

Number three is \\u201cyear\\u201d.

\\n

Number two is \\u201cperson\\u201d.

\\n

And the number one most popular noun in English is \\u201ctime\\u201d.
