The UK Courts & Tribunals Service - Part 2

Published: Aug. 10, 2020, 5 a.m.

Join us for this immensely informative podcast in which Hatti Suvari speaks to the Chief Executive of Her Majesty's Courts & Tribunals Service (also referred to as HMCTS), Susan Acland-Hood about what our Courts and Tribunals are all about, how HMCTS have been working really hard to be able to conduct hearings, and carry out Court work during the crisis. Susan talks about the 'Nightingale Courts' that have been put in to place, how the backlog of hearings are being dealt with,  and how jury trials are being orchestrated to be heard during the crisis. A not to be missed podcast giving you free informative and jargon free legal conversation.
While increasing the claim limit for the HMCTS online civil money claims service to £25,000 was considered, the current limit remains at £10,000 which accounts for the majority of individuals’ money claims. HMCTS will continue to keep the online claim limit under review as the service develops. #HMCTS #UKCourts #UKTribunals #getlegallyspeaking #legalearning
