The Coming to the Table organization’s vision for the United States is of a just and truthful society that acknowledges and seeks to heal from the racial wounds of the past—from slavery and the many forms of racism it spawned. Its mission is to provide leadership, resources, and a supportive environment for all who wish to acknowledge and heal wounds from racism that is rooted in the United States’ history of slavery.We are so pleased to welcome CTTT founder, Prinny Anderson, and Gayle Jessup White (Public Relations & Community Engagement Officer at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation) to the show. Both speak candidly about their experience when meeting descendants of the enslaved and the family/families that enslaved their ancestors - and vice versa. Prinny & Gayle are more than CTTL colleagues – they are cousins who share Thomas Jefferson as an ancestor. Join us as they candidly talk about black and white sides of the same family, joined by slavery, meet to discuss America’s past – and its future.
