\u201cLiving Koinonia Lives

As we begin our \u201cKoinonia\u201d sermon series, we are reminded that our life lived as Christian people is not lived for ourselves, but for others. This is a difficult truth for us to embrace because we\u2019re raised to believe that \u201cme first\u201d is an acceptable mantra. And it would be acceptable...if we were just Americans. But we\u2019re not just Americans, we\u2019re American-Christians, or Christians who happen to live in America. As such, we can show a better way to those around us as we show them Jesus\u2019 way by putting \u201cOthers First\u201d. Yes, take care of yourself and take care of your family. We will remember today however, that as a Christian, we live like Jesus lived and consider the needs of \u201cOthers First\u201d.
