God Is With Us? (Johnson)

Psalm 14
Matthew 28:18-20

Not dissimilar to last week’s message, we should be overwhelmed by the truth presented in Psalm 14. God is with us! Don’t take that for granted Christian...God is with us! And Psalm 14 is especially important in that regard because the Psalmist reminds us that we are surrounded by people, day after day, who do not believe in God as we do. In truth, we are surrounded by people who do not believe in God whatsoever, or as the Psalmist writes it here “The fool says in his heart ‘There is no God’”. So since we are surrounded by people who day after day rail against our faith and rail against our God, it is comforting to know that God is with us every day. Especially because we are not to be hermits or monastics, cloistered away in our faith groupings...ignoring the unbelievers around us. We are called to take the Gospel and to bring our faith and to be bold about it every day. So thank you Jesus! Psalm 14:5,6 reminds us that “God is with Us!”
