Encountering Jesus in Our Life

Sometimes our lives consume us. We are a never-ending, in-motion, non-stop, gotta have more society. Our wealth and our drive for more wealth isn’t in an of itself a bad thing. The problem is we are quite good at taking a good gift from God and turning it into something that gets between us and our relationship with Jesus. As we encounter Jesus however, we are reminded of what’s important. Jesus says in John chapter six “Don’t work for food that perishes but food that endures to eternal life which the Son of Man will give you” (verse twenty-seven). He knows you have to work but He calls us today to have our priorities right. He is the bread of life and calls us to make sure that in the midst of our striving to put food on the table, that we don’t forget that truth about Him. We should ask the question today “Can I genuinely say that Jesus is all that I need in life?” Today we are thankful to Jesus that He comes to us in life but more importantly, that He is our life!
