Anxious for Nothing (Meyer)

This is one of the harder commands from Scripture to obey. The Bible repeatedly tells us not to be anxious but to lean into something that is “Always Better,” namely, peace that passes understanding in and through the Lord Jesus. Martha struggled with anxiety but Mary seems to have it right. Mary likely knew that things needed to be done and that there was satisfaction and peace in getting those things done, but Mary also knew that spending time with Jesus was “Always Better” than any task or to-do-list and that’s what she chose. What about you? What choices are you making that affect your peace?
