“Suffer or Surf”?

So much love and light dear readers and listeners! Sarah, here with you “Fully Awake”

The awakening process or act of recognizing that one is awake is different for everyone. We are each on different levels. Some of us meet in the middle and join each other in the same field. Worlds can intertwine and unwind and bind together again along the way. I feel that this is present in my life in many ways. And specifically for a customer that used to come in 2-3 times a day when I worked at the coffee shop next to her children store. And there would be moments where I would occasionally see her here and there and sometimes often in yoga class, and now it’s like she’s magnetically back in, even as a customer/client again for a specific reason. I feel the Divine/God places each person in our lives for a reason. And what is really beautiful is that I had a moment with this individual that was specifically spectacular and allowed me to learn more from a more enlightened human such as herself. She’s shown up in such a way that is Divine for me. She’s helped teach and remind me that I still have so much to learn. It is moments like these than keep me in check, keep me humble, and recognizing that there is still so much for my young soul to learn.

Whatever stage anyone is in during the awakening process, we have the opportunity to level up. And more often than not I always choose to allow growth to take place. Deepening my self-knowledge, self-respect, and kindness to continuously let myself be and show grace and love to others where they are at. A lesson I’ve been reminded of alot recently is just to allow them to be, I can not change anyone, and it is not my place to even try… they are just where they are.

And threading this into where I am today. I am literally house cleaning and doing all the chores and I’m leaning over with the vacuum and my back gives out a bit, tweaks, does whatever these bones and muscles do to decide that they have had enough. (Not to mention the amount of cardio I did today then went straight into cleaning, ugh). This was a reminder to me to just relax, just be… this is what Saturdays are for… and to just allow myself to be where I am.

“The ocean tide is much like mother nature herself: beautiful, enigmatic, and not to be f*cking ignored. You can let the waves crash on you, or you can hop up on the board and ride them out”

And literally I have a moment where I went surfing with a roommates boyfriend, while she was at work and a storm was out in the ocean, and we got beat up! We kept going out there and catching some them I would fall off, then go back out, then get back on and just keep going. And we finally decided to go in when he lost his board after we both got caught in the wash a few times. This moment is truly an epic resemblance to whatever you do choose to ride out the storm and sometimes even to wait it out. To not give up, and to just let it be where it is. And this specific example was let mother nature be. Ride…. or not ride. Ride what you’re given :)
