Published: Sept. 30, 2019, 9:43 p.m.

NOTE: ORANGE SOCKS JANE DOE HAS SINCE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS DEBRA LOUISE JACKSON OF TEXAS. THIS RECORDING WAS DONE PRIOR TO HER IDENTIFICATION.

On Halloween night in 1979, a motorist saw the nude body of a young woman lying in a culvert in Georgetown, Texas. She had been strangled and sexually assaulted, and was found only wearing a pair of orange socks. A number of events led investigators to believe that Henry Lee Lucas, a known serial killer, was the culprit. Lucas would confess to murdering her, receiving the death penalty because of this. However, Governor George Bush would later change the sentence to life because he believed Lucas' recantment. Now, investigators need to connect some dots and find out who she was and how she ended up in the culvert.
