SYRIA IS five thousand years of warfare. And deploying American soldiers will not put a stop to the death. This week’s program was inspired by a report earlier this week that an American armored convoy crossed into Syria from Iraq to bring equipment and weapons to bases in oil-rich eastern regions of Syria, currently under the control of Kurdish forces. In October 2019, President Trump addressed the American people from the White House and said, “We’re getting out. Let someone else fight over this long blood-stained sand. The job of our military is not to police the world.” And yet, after one full day in office, the Biden administration is sending our troops back into Syria.
