b'Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone in our lives would just accept us as we grow and morph into the healthy humans our spirituality is calling us to be? Ya, that would be nice! Doesn’t always happen, but it would be nice!
\\nBut our spiritual ancestors have a story that applies to these moments:

\\n* When our newfound boundaries frustrate our families.
\\n* When our new ways of presenting ourselves get weird comments about why we are changing.
\\n* When our requests for what we truly want and never verbalized are met with defensiveness and even rejection. 
\\n
\\nWhat do we do? Our spiritual ancestors say we Tussle. We find a way to fit into the group again being truly ourselves. Not an easy thing. But would you believe, our spiritual ancestors have linked this skill to heaven, and lacking this skill to sin?
\\nShould be a great Stage 4 conversation that will be tied to the story of the nation of Israel coming into the Promised Land, with the thinking of a modern existential theologian named Paul Tillich, with the painful task of picking a movie to watch with my wife that we will both enjoy, to Stage 4 spirituality.
