Over the last few weeks we’ve been talking about ways that we avoid dealing with our resentments. We can resort to blaming, we can shame ourselves, we can even try to punish those who are in a better place than us.

Sometimes, though, when situations out of our control wreak havoc in our lives, we can engage in something known as “Ruminating”. When you start wondering if something out there may be conspiring against you? Was it bad luck? Was it God who caused it or allowed it to happen? Did you do something that upset something or someone and that’s why it happened? Initially the inquiry can start out as an attempt to alleviate the pain, but it often ends up just amplifying our suffering, causing resentment to deepen.

This Sunday, we’re going to explore this age-old tendency along with a healthy alternative. We hope you’ll join us.
