\\nThere is a story in the bible, it\'s a brutal story. \\xa0It\'s about one group genociding another group. \\xa0For years I\\u2019ve had it marked with a WTF in the margin. \\xa0What in the world do we do with stories like these?\\xa0 Especially when they are in the Bible!?!?This week, I\'m going to propose an answer. \\xa0Or at least, I\'m going to propose a way of looking at one particular story that I think redeems it in some small way. \\xa0Not because genocide is redeemable, but because the core motivation underneath this story is, I think, something we might be doing regularly in our lives.And that is worth wrestling with.Join us this week as we explore a very difficult story from the Bible, along with the Northman movie, the musicals Les Miserable and Oliver and the regular practice of Catfishing.It\'s a wild ride that will take us, hopefully, deep inside of our motivations and help us see a framework to live more spiritual healthy lives.Invite a\\xa0friend\\xa0and plan to grab lunch after, this one might spark some amazing conversations.
