By "real" friends, I mean friends who you experience true mutuality with...who give to the relationship as much as they take from it. Last week, Vince pointed out that we likely have less of those real friends than we think. But for many, just the thought of having to go out in search of "real" friends seems hardly worth it. To put themselves out there and risk rejection or to end up in similar lop-sided relationships as they have before - can seem like such a hassle that it's almost not worth the bother.
