Divine Intervention

Speaker: Jeff Jarvis So what goes through your mind when you hear or read someone saying that they'll be praying for someone who's sick or going through a difficult time? I'll be honest, I get skeptical. Partly because I'm not sure people follow through on that promise (I know I often don't), but mostly because I'm not sure how or what kinds of things God actually responds to. If you're like me, you've known of situations that really could have used some divine intervention. That, despite the desperate prayers of many, there seemed to be very little, if any response. Which begs to ask some questions: Could there be certain rules around what situations God gets involved with and which requests get ignored? Is the problem with the person praying. Could stuff going on in one's life negate their prayers? Could how you actually say a prayer limit your prayer's effectiveness? This Sunday, I'm going to explore supernatural intervention with a wide angle lens and if you've ever struggled with this topic, you might want to make plans to join us at the gym.
