Speaker: Jeff Jarvis Experiencing shame can be debilitating. Living with that feeling - that sense - that what you are, who you are, will never be good enough. Listening day after day to that voice in your head that continually reminds you of all the ways that you fall short. It can make one’s life miserable. This, sadly, is a very common human experience and probably why, as a theme, it surfaces so often in religion. There is a particular version of the Easter story in the Christian tradition, along with an accompanying belief system, that has been used as a remedy for this shame. This Sunday at Friends Church, we’re going to explore it and examine its effectiveness. If you ever struggle with feelings of shame - you need to be there. Invite a friend and join us Sunday at the gym!
