Episode 11 ~ Photog Marcus Paladino, Carolyn's Limerick Test, Davin's Tuff Winter

Published: Jan. 23, 2016, 2:25 a.m.

This was a big week on the 90.1 FM Tuff City Radio Frequency Horizon experience. We delve into sinister hues, contemplate winter lifestyles through the first play of a local musician and get the skinny on quality surf imagery from a photographer making his airwave debut. -First of all, I switched Boards of Canada songs for the intro (from Julie and Candy to ’84 Pontiac Dream), which worked out quite well. -We head to the character-drenched home of Carolyn Grumbach to get a glimpse into the history of Vancouver Island. But first I have to pass the "Limerick Test." -Photographer Marcus Paladino (http://marcuspaladino.com/) is live in studio to walk us through his visual process and bring a few laughs into play... -As far as I know it's the first time @davin-sandvar has had his music played on Tofino radio, and I think you're going to like what he has to offer. Marcus relates the stories behind the songs. -Plus we've got music from @eric-prydz + @chvrches, @deltaheavy, @benhowardofficial, @dauwd, @theraa, @the-handsome-family
