I made it through a year of highs and lows in the City of Angels! So lets fire up the Aphex Twin (@aphex-twin-official) and contemplate how far we've all made it in the last 12. It's crazy to think in that time I've managed to live in Los Feliz, Venice Beach, Westwood, Koreatown and Silverlake (and everywhere in between and beyond, right?). Plus, I've done a wide assortment of gigs in the process -- background acting, videography, podcasting, fresh salad seller, fine dining server and more. We start with some clips from a Werner Herzog doc about crashing in the jungle. Plus we'll take you with us down to a public #art show breathing new life into a concrete spaceship-looking sculpture that never really worked properly. The six-story, 60-ton Triforium by artist Joseph Young was supposed to exude synchronicity through 1,494 multi-coloured glass prisms. But symbolic of DTLA itself, its futuristic dreams came smack up against the challenges of reality.
