1\xa0Paul, an apostle\xa0of Christ Jesus by the will of God,\xa0and Timothy\xa0our brother,\xa02\xa0To\xa0God\u2019s holy people in Colossae,\xa0the faithful\xa0brothers and sisters\xa0in Christ:\xa0Grace\xa0and peace to you from God our Father. 3\xa0We always thank God,\xa0the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,4\xa0because\xa0we have heard\xa0of your faith in Christ Jesus\xa0and of the love\xa0you have\xa0for all God\u2019s people\u2014\xa05\xa0the faith and love that spring from the hope\xa0stored up for you in heaven\xa0and about which you have already heard in the true message\xa0of the gospel\xa06\xa0that has come to you.\xa0In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit\xa0and growing throughout the whole world\u2014just as it has been doing among you since the day you\xa0heard\xa0it and truly understood\xa0God\u2019s grace.\xa07\xa0You learned it from\xa0Epaphras,\xa0our dear fellow servant,\xa0who is a faithful minister\xa0of Christ on our\xa0behalf,8\xa0and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. 9\xa0For this reason, since the day we heard about you,\xa0we have not stopped praying for you.\xa0We continually ask\xa0God to fill you with the\xa0knowledge\xa0of his will\xa0through all the\xa0wisdom\xa0and\xa0understanding\xa0that the Spirit gives,\xa0\xa010\xa0so that\xa0you may\xa0live a life worthy\xa0of the Lord\xa0and please him\xa0in every way:\xa0bearing fruit\xa0in every good work,\xa0growing\xa0in the knowledge of God,\xa011\xa0being strengthened\xa0with all power\xa0according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,\xa012\xa0and\xa0giving joyful thanks\xa0to the Father,\xa0who has qualified you\xa0to share in the\xa0inheritance of his holy people\xa0in the kingdom of light.\xa013\xa0For he has rescued us from\xa0the dominion of darkness\xa0and brought us into the\xa0kingdom\xa0of the Son he loves,\xa014\xa0in whom we have redemption,\xa0the forgiveness of sins.
