Mind Games, Part 2: I Feel Abandoned

"I don't want to live. I feel abandoned. I lack faith. I don't need God." If you've ever found yourself thinking these thoughts, you've probably found yourself in the midst of a mind game.

\n

\xa0\u201c\u2026..we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.\u201d 2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV

\xa0\u201cWe are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world.\u201d Ephesians 6:12 CEV

Fear: What does it do?

\n

1.\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0 Consumes your mind.

\n

\xa0\u201cHow long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?\u201d Psalm 13:2 NIV

\n

2.\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0 Clouds your judgment.

\n

\xa0\u201cThen seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance. But when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight.
