Financial Margin Message

How many live occasionally with financial stress?

See how normal this is for us?

Financial margin is having $3000 come in for the month and spending $2500. You are left with $500 in margin

If you get n $3000 and spend $3000 how much margin do you have? 0

If you get in $3000 and spend $3500 you are over the edge

Margin – the distance from where you are to the edge of the cliff

Freedom to give without stress

Money to purchase time margin

Money to do something you have wanted to do

Ability to be at rest

Most people do not have financial margin

Prov. 21:20 The wise store up choice food and olive oil,
but fools gulp theirs down

But a foolish person lives paycheck to paycheck

This is not dependent on income

In the house of the WISE is more than enough

Wise way and foolish way of doing things

friend – wealthy friends not living with margin

Fighting to keep up with their lifestyle

Other friend – plain, house…peace in this home

Most people with an untrained eye would say, “they are not rich”

But that is wrong.

Home with margin is rich in what matters most

Verse.

I timothy 6 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Godliness with contentment is great gain…

Cultures definition of happiness

Most of us have lifestyle way past margin

Its not an income problem, it’s a lifestyle problem

Not a lifestyle problem but a spiritual problem

Matthew verse… 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

So what do we do?

Earn more or spend less…

But you are smart and already know that.

The problem is a deeper root problem

How do we create margin?

You must put God first in your finances

Tithe – you will experience God’s blessings

Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

2 key principles:

1. When we bring our first and our best, God will bless the rest

Tithing builds our faith

2. When you put God first you will be supernaturally content

Proverbs 15:16 Better a little with the fear of the Lord
than great wealth with turmoil.

Better, better, better, better

When you realize its better you do things different

You will end up with more of what matters

Proverbs 8:18-19

18 With me are riches and honor,
 enduring wealth and prosperity.

19 My fruit is better than fine gold;
what I yield surpasses choice silver.

Gave away cars, sponsor children,

Better, better
