Title of Message: What is Margin?

Margin: The amount available beyond what is necessary.

Margin: The difference between what you have and what you need.

(Luke 10:38-40) As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made.

(Luke 10:40) She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"

(Matthew 7:13) …For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

(Matthew 7:14) But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

(Romans 12:2) Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

(Luke 10:41) "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

Where Margin Begins:

(Matthew 11:28-29) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

(Psalm 46:10) Be still, and know that I am God.

(Isaiah 58:11) The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
