(Lamentations\n3:19-20)\xa0 \u201cI remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness\nand the gall.\xa0 I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.\u201d

• Past problems.

\n\n(Job 30:26)\xa0 \u201cYet when I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, then came darkness.\u201d

• Past mistakes.

\n\n(Job 27:8)\xa0 \u201cFor what hope has the godless when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
\n

• Past relationships.

\n\n(Job 19:19)\xa0 \u201cAll my intimate friends detest me; those I love have turned against me.\u201d

(Lamentations\n3:21-23)\xa0 \u201cYet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:\xa0 Because\nof the LORD\u2019s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never\nfail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.\u201d
