As Christians living in Babylon, we are called to live differently in our daily lives. When we honor and submit to earthly authority in a loving and unified way, we are actually obeying and honoring God and who He has called us to be.

12\xa0Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers,\xa0they may see your good deeds and glorify God on\xa0the day of visitation. 13\xa0Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution,\xa0whether it be to the emperor\xa0as supreme,\xa014\xa0or to governors as sent by him\xa0to punish those who do evil and\xa0to praise those who do good.\xa015\xa0For this is the will of God,\xa0that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.\xa016\xa0Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but\xa0living as servants\xa0of God.\xa017\xa0Honor everyone.\xa0Love the brotherhood.\xa0Fear God.
