Likewise, wives,\xa0be subject to your own husbands so that\xa0even if some do not obey the word,\xa0they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives,\xa02\xa0when they see your\xa0respectful and pure conduct.\xa03\xa0Do not let your adorning be external\u2014the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear\u2014\xa04\xa0but let your adorning be\xa0the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.\xa05\xa0For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands,\xa06\xa0as Sarah obeyed Abraham,\xa0calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and\xa0do not fear anything that is frightening. 7\xa0Likewise,\xa0husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker\xa0vessel, since they are heirs with you\xa0of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. 1 Peter 3:1-7 (ESV)

How do we remain faithful in the face of external discouragement and external unmet expectations?

1. We stay submitted to Jesus

2. We give attention to what get\u2019s God\u2019s attention
