You were created to live a blessed life.

All throughout the Bible, even starting in Genesis when God commanded Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it, we see that God intended for us to live a blessed life!

But sin entered the world and messed that all up.

God intends that we live a blessed life. In order to do this, we must realize the power of our tongue to defeat the enemy and remember who we are in Christ. #Foundational #identityinChrist #words #Podcast #victory

The whole reason why Christ came to earth, died on the cross, and rose the third day was to redeem us and to restore us to the blessed life.

Psalm 8:4 "What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet"

This was God's original intent for your life!

In Hebrews this passage is quoted, and then the writer adds:

" But now we do not yet see all things put under him.  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels... in bringing many sons to glory..." Hebrews 8-10

When Jesus came to redeem us from sin, it was to restore us.

God doesn't want to just patch up your old life. It is messed up by sin, it is under the curse. He wants to make you a whole new creation and give you a whole new life, so you can live the blessed life.

This doesn't mean we always escape the bad stuff in this world.

But when we live the blessed life, God said that He'll even make the bad things that happen turn out for good for us.

I once talked to a woman who had been confined to a wheelchair her whole life. As we spoke, her eyes radiated the most amazing joy.

She talked about how blessed she was, because she's learned how to live free from the curse.

The Power of the Tongue

We all face a very real enemy

"Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, 'If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.' But He answered and said, 'It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, 'If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: "He shall give His angels charge over you," and, "In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone."' Jesus said to him, 'It is written again, "You shall not tempt the LORD your God."' Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, 'All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.' Then Jesus said to him, 'Away with you, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve."'" Matthew 4:3-10
