Would You Rather Do It The Easy Way or The Hard Way?

If you could get the same results, would you rather do it the easy way or the hard way?  I believe we would choose the easy way, but yet sometimes we do it the hard way and don't even realize it!  And I think what makes it the harder path is that we assume from our perspective but not necessarily from the perspective of the person or the project we are working with or on.  So if we would ask clarifying questions, we could deliver the specific details the way it is truly wanted, not what we assume is wanted!  Food for thought!
