09. Giving Yourself Grace in the Art of Parenting with Molly Cover

Published: Aug. 4, 2020, 11:30 a.m.

Molly Cover is the mother of four boys under 10, which essentially means she’s already earned her ticket to the Parenting Hall of Fame. And if you’re thinking, “Oh, that poor woman," then don’t. From start to finish, it’s clear that Molly’s heart sings of gratitude and joy for the gift of having been blessed with the mission of parenting 80% of a future basketball team.

As a bit of a sneak peek, we touch on the challenges of parenting in the wake of a screen-obsessed culture, the unique qualities of each of her boys’ personalities, and Molly and David’s passion behind keeping God at the center of their family’s daily motivations. In terms of legacy talk, we’d be lying if we said things don’t get a bit heartfelt, and who is surprised? As it turns out, being a mother in and of itself is maybe one of the most meaningful fingerprints you can leave on the world.

On the lighter side of things, we discuss Molly’s love for reading recipes and cooking new meals, watching 80’s movies with power soundtracks, and - of course - how much protein she eats per day. And yes, Chick-fil-A is her favorite fast food restaurant just like everyone else.
