Film Fallout Podcast #97 - Fifty Flags Flying Free

Published: Feb. 14, 2018, 3:46 p.m.

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan are free from the constraints of watching the same movie as the other one this week, which probably makes Christian Grey angry. But we’re here anyways with reviews of several films including this week’s release of Fifty Shades Freed. Has Anastasia finally changed Christian Grey into a man who can truly love? Or does he stay in businessman mode even in the bedroom? Plus, Dylan saw Last Flag Flying and we talk about its connection to The Last Detail and why we’re bad people for not seeing this when it’s a Richard Linklater film. On top of this, Chris saw Netflix’s When We First Met and Dylan watched Come Drink With Me. We also go off on a bunch of tangents amidst our usual Blu-ray releases (Hey, there are two great Criterions out this week: Night of the Living Dead and Silence of the Lambs) and news. We discuss everything from Uwe Boll to the Writer’s Guild Awards to Quentin Tarantino’s new movie possibly being in trouble. Next week, we return with a review of Black Panther. Film Fallout is a weekly podcast about film and television. Every week, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan discuss news happening in the industry, Blu-ray releases coming out this week, what they’ve been watching, and then a review of one movie. You can listen to it on SoundCloud or iTunes. Also, follow us on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes magic. We are both on Twitter if you’d like to follow us there. Chris is @HammerkopCross, Dylan is @DreaminDylanS, and you can follow the podcast @Filmfalloutcast. And finally, there is a Facebook page for the podcast if you’ want to ‘like’ us on that.
