Film Fallout Podcast #79 - mother! It Went to Twin Peaks!

Published: Sept. 20, 2017, 2:05 p.m.

After two long weeks, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan are back to talk about Darren Aronofsky's newest biblical allegory, mother! Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem star in this thriller, alongside Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer. We talk about the film's critical and audience reception, the very weird imagery in the film, and the bonkers ending. Trust me, it's a very heated (but not argumentative) discussion about a movie that it is impossible not to have opinions about. While Chris was gone, Dylan finished up Twin Peaks: The Return and has so many thoughts on the ending of the third season. As well, he watched Top of the Lake: China Girl which continues Nicole Kidman's choke-hold on 2017. Meanwhile, Chris found time to watch all of Bojack Horseman's fourth season and delves into that show's mysterious success, and he also saw It - which he discusses in regards to the other horror films of 2017. We also caught up on some of the big news, and the blu-ray releases from this week, including The Devil's Candy and Wonder Woman (check out our podcasts on each here, and here). Next week, we shall return with a review of Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Film Fallout is a weekly podcast about film and television, hosted on BagoGames.com. Every week, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan discuss news happening in the industry, blu-ray releases coming out this week, what they’ve been watching, and then a review of one movie. You can listen to it on SoundCloud, iTunes, or on BagoGames. Also follow us on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes magic. We are both on Twitter, if you’d like to follow us there. Chris is @HammerkopCross, Dylan is @DreaminDylanS, and you can follow the podcast @Filmfalloutcast. And finally, there is a Facebook page for the podcast if you’d like to ‘like’ us on that.
