Film Fallout Podcast #64 - The Xenomorphs Are Not What They Seem

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan are back and are bursting with thoughts on Alien: Covenant. Directed by Ridley Scott, this marks his third entry in the Alien franchise (we did a podcast on all the movies leading up to this!) and the second prequel to the original 1979 film. Is it better than Prometheus? Perhaps the better question is what did it learn from Prometheus and how did it apply that to an Alien film? Well, we dive into those questions and more this week. But there was also a huge TV moment for Dylan this week: Twin Peaks is back. Dylan saw the first four episodes and discusses what it feels like to revisit the Red Room. He also watched some of Amazon's I Love Dick. Meanwhile, Chris saw the first few episodes for the third season of Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. There is the usual news to discuss and we have a hard time picking just one Blu-Ray pick this week. So really, go out of your way and get both Logan (hear us discuss it here) and Get Out (and hear us discuss that here). Really, these are two of the best movies this year and you owe it to yourself to have them in your collection. Next week, we're back with a review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, because no, we're not going to sit through Baywatch. Film Fallout is a weekly podcast about film and television. Every week, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan discuss news happening in the industry, blu-ray releases coming out this week, what they’ve been watching, and then a review of one movie. You can listen to it on SoundCloud, iTunes, or on BagoGames. Also follow us on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes magic. We are both on Twitter, if you’d like to follow us there. Chris is @HammerkopCross, Dylan is @DreaminDylanS, and you can follow the podcast @Filmfalloutcast. And finally, there is a Facebook page for the podcast if you’d like to ‘like’ us on that.
